What model is best when Co-Teaching in the Classroom? I would like to think the parallel teaching model is best. But need suggestions. Thanks in advance!
Station teaching also works well. It tends to get pretty noisy, so be aware of that, but station teaching allows for a new skill group, a remediation/acceleration group, and (if there is a student teacher or para) another group as a review/preview group. If not, independent work is just as effective.
There is also the "team-teaching" method that works very well. The teachers need to have a good working relationship and rapport with each other for this to work effectively.
As a Math and Science community, we are very excited to share knowledge with each other as we learn. We have many units that we are studying and as we move along, we will share our work with each other. Our goal is to continue working as a cooperative learning community and continue to share knowledge that will benefit us all in the future.

ReplyDeleteI don't have a favorite co-teaching model. I just like to see teachers working together for the betterment of students.
